Do not regret that you fell in love.
Regret that you never did.
The world’s most viewed TED Talk. In GIFs!
I just can’t reblog this enough. If I filled up my tumblr with just this it wouldn’t be enough. Most of all I wish I could tell my immediate family about this because they perpetuate me growing out of creativity -.-
If you haven’t seen this TED Talk, I highly recommend it.
One of the things I’ve really focused on as a parent is making sure my kids know that making lots of mistakes is the best way to learn something new. If you get something on the first try it might be exciting, but you haven’t really learned anything. This is definitely something I was not taught as a child, unfortunately, which made me averse to trying anything new out of a fear of failure. It’s taken me a long time to retrain my thoughts to not take errors as huge blows to my self-confidence.
My kids deserve better. All kids deserve better. ~JJ
Mistakes mean you are trying and that is never wrong.
I want a kind of love like my parents.
The one that is faithful and true. The kind that endures through every circumstance no matter what happens. The kind of love that is ready to face a storm and stand for what they believe is right. The kind of love that is filled with laughs while expressing their undying love to their partner. The kind of love that is able to comfort a weary soul and a teary-eye. The kind that is willing to understand any shortcoming of the other half. The kind that will sacrifice anything even their life for the betterment of the people around it. The kind of love that begins and ends your day with a bunch of “I love you’s”.
I want a kind of love like those in the books.
A love worth fighting for. A love that can change your point of view of the world. A love that will change you but accept you for who you are. A love that will be filled with fights but will end in apologies and make-up dates. A love that will fight through all the monsters and villains ahead. A love that tries to find the light beyond all the darkness. A love that lets you stay who you are and stay with until forever. A love that will go through the depths of every cave and tunnel just to find you and hold you. A love that will protect you with immeasurable concern. A love that will give you enough truth to set things straight. A love that holds you tight but is ready to set you free. A love that is willing to stay on forever.
I want a love like…
Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen
John Smith a. k. a. Number Four and Sarah Hart
Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase
David Rice and Millie
Bryce Loski and Julianna Baker
"I hope you noticed we have a serious situation."
I don’t want a fairy tale.
Because they only existed, Once Upon A Time.
If I’ll ever wish for a story,
it will be about you and me.
About how I waited and loved you
And how you fought for what is true.
How long will it last, I don’t know,
But if you want it to end, just let me know.
Ang naisip ko pa talaga eh, Can’t you just get a room?
Haha.
